Oblique Projection-Based Modal Matching Algorithm for LPV Model Order Reduction of Aeroservoelastic Systems

An aeroservoelastic system can be described as a gridding-based linear parameter-varying (LPV) model, whose dynamic characteristics usually vary with the airspeed. Due to high order of system, it is necessary perform reduction on LPV models overcome control design challenges. However, when directly extending time-invariant (LTI) model technologies states reduced-order LTI generated separately at different grid points could inconsistent. In this paper, novel modal matching algorithm proposed solve problem state inconsistency by identifying internal connection between adjacent points. oblique projection-based distance metric defined improve reliability algorithm. The constructed based method would have fidelity relative original and smooth interpolation performance applied X-56A aircraft, numerical results show its effectiveness.
